Fight of the Ages: A Triple-A MOBA game with Microsoft Mesh technology

Fight of The Ages (FOTA) is a Triple-A MOBA game project with a fantasy universe that is inhabited by many different races. In the world of FOTA, NFT technology is optimized such that you can own valuable digital assets while playing the game. With plans to be more than just a MOBA game platform, the team has also introduced DeFi mechanisms and a DAO to allow the community to make important decisions relating to the game. Integrating with Microsoft Mesh, FOTA will utilize Mixed Reality to make its metaverse experience as realistic and immersive as possible.

At the time of launch, there will be 8 races for you to choose from, including Omni, Dragon, Elf, Human, Keen, Demon, Beast, and Ogre. You will be allowed to choose from a variety of characters to start your FOTA journey. To find out more about each of the 8 races, check out the summary of races in the white paper. In addition, there are also 8 different classes, whereby each hero will belong to one of the following classes: Mage, Priest, Warlock, Warrior, Chemist, Hunter, Assassin, Mech. Build your squad wisely by making use of the classes and you will find that your entire squad gains additional stats and increased strength in combat.

Before you start on your FOTA adventure, you’ll need to know that Aether is the ultimate energy source that creates all matter in the FOTA universe, thus it is highly sought after by all the races. In the FOTA universe, there are 3 worlds, namely Greenland, Earth, and Nightmare.

• Greenland: The land of Eternity, where was once the birthplace of the Aether. Greenland is home to god-like creatures known as the Omni and Dragon.
• Earth: The ultimate civilization. Here the Elf, Human and Keen races live together and receive the Omni’s preparation for the dark days ahead.
• Nightmare: The darkest night, and is considered as a wasteland of the FOTA universe. Cold, dark, and cruel, only the darkest creatures like the Demon, Ogre, and Beast can survive here.

At the beginning, FOTA starts off with the era known as the Unity Saga, in which there are several different ways that you can play the game to receive rewards accordingly:

• Campaign (PvE): If you choose the daily quest, you will undergo the comprehensive story of FOTA that comprises 30 quests from the 3 worlds. There will also be monthly warrior quests organized on the platform, along with seasonal quests that will be hosted from time to time that will allow you to receive super rare items or rewards.
• Arena (PvP): Organize your own match at any time based on FOTA’s automatic matching algorithm. In Arena mode, the winner will get experience points that allow you to level up and receive more tokens as rewards, which you can then use to buy more items or convert to fiat. The platform’s algorithm will automatically match players based on their current skills.
• Duel (Challenge): You create rooms in 1v1 mode where each player controls 3 to 5 heroes, or 2v2 to 5v5 mode, where each user controls 1 hero. The 2v2 to 5v5 modes allow groups with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 5 people to create rooms to hold group battles. Unlike Campaign and Arena, the Duel mode requires groups to place a bet that is used as the wager between the parties. The bet will go to the winning team and be divided equally among the members.
• Tournament: Tournaments are major competitions held on a quarterly or annual basis, in which players will be chosen as the champion with the title of The Universe Champion. Currently, the tournament will be held for teams with 5 members.

Once you have achieved the minimum rankings in Unity Saga, you can look forward to entering the next stage known as the World’s Saga, where you will officially enter a new era of MOBA game series. Each player will control a hero to follow an allied team to explore 7 new planets and many new lands on a World Map, which expands across the universe. World’s Saga is expected to be ready in Q3 2022.

All heroes and items in FOTA will be in the form of NFT and the FOTA Marketplace is where you need to be if you’d like to buy or sell your NFTs. In addition, the FOTA Marketplace will introduce a NFT rental feature for heroes, items, and skins. If you are new to the game and have a need to use heroes or items with a high level but do not want to spend too much time or money to procure the required NFT components, rent-to-earn provides you with a quick and convenient way to rent the NFT for a short period of time, which will be governed by a lease agreement through a smart contract.

According to their road map, FOTA’s alpha testing version is planned to be released in February 2022, before their IDO and listing of the $FOTA token, which is expected to occur in the same month.
