If you aren’t already aware, Rise of Defenders has been touted as one of the top gaming and metaverse projects to look out for in 2022! This should come as no surprise as they have a very strong team behind the game. The game is developed by Apero Game Studio and they have extensive experience in developing some of the world’s top games.
In terms of gameplay, Rise of Defenders is similar to the Tower Defense genre of games with added RPG elements. Inspired by popular game titles such as Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Tactic Ogre, and AFK Arena, the main task of the game is to organize the formation, upgrade heroes, and prevent the destruction of your base by monsters.

Each hero in the game has its own unique skills that make fighting and defense easier. This is where you can see the quality of the NFT heroes, with its colorful and vibrant imagery and colors. Definitely a plus point which will make you want to continue playing the game and experimenting and collecting different heroes!
There are several modes of play in Rise of Defenders:
- Campaign (PvE): This is the default game mode, where you will experience battles on different maps and face different enemies. You stand to receive attractive rewards such as tokens or equipment.
- Tournament (PvE Ranking): Unlike Campaign mode, you will be ranked on a leaderboard against other players. The higher your ranking, the better rewards you stand to receive.
- Arena (PvP Ranking): Use your heroes to fight in teams with other players. Arena mode is also divided into different ranks, where the higher the rank that you fight in, the better the rewards.
Within Rise of Defenders, there will be two tokens that you will be interacting with. $RDG which will serve as the in-game utility token and $RDR which will serve as the governance token.
According to our sources, their game testnet is already running, and the mainnet and official game will be released really soon in January 2022. New heroes, equipment, and maps are also being worked on for the rest of 2022, so there’s plenty more exciting stuff coming our way!
